About Tina Hamer
Having a life long passion for horses and suffering the occasional falls that come with it, I eventually found myself on a McTimoney Chiropractor’s bench. I was so impressed with the treatment that I embarked on the 4 year long training in 1996, qualifying at the McTimoney Chiropractice College in 1999.
After establishing my human clinic I went on to do the 2 year Post-Graduate training in Animal Manipulation graduating in 2004.
I worked as a GCC Registered Chiropractor for 20 years. In 2020 I decided to leave the GCC and align myself with the Association of McTimoney Practitioners. My treatment is essentially the same but my title has altered and I am now working as a registered and insured McTimoney Practitioner rather than a Chiropractor.

McTimoney Technique
A Holistic Approach to Optimum Wellness
The McTimoney Technique isn’t about “cracking” joints; it’s about listening to your body. Using a uniquely light-touch approach, we use our hands to scan your entire skeletal system for subtle misalignments. Because we prioritise speed and precision over heavy force, it’s about encouraging your body to heal itself, working with your body’s natural intelligence rather than forcing a change.
Rooted in History
While the art of manipulation dates back to ancient civilisations, our specific practice is inspired by the pioneering work of John McTimoney. We combine his philosophy of “whole-body health” with modern science to help your nervous system function exactly as it should.
Who We Help
Because of its lightness, this method is truly for everyone. We see clients across the entire spectrum of life:
- The Youngsters: Through growth spurts, sports injuries and postural challenges.
- The Milestones: Assisting through life’s physical challenges i.e. desk bound jobs, pregnancy, hobbies and sports along with accidents and injuries.
- The Golden Years: Maintaining flexibility and independence in later life.
Why It Works
Life happens. Whether it’s a sudden fall, a desk-bound job, or just the daily grind, joints can lose their perfect alignment. When a joint is slightly “off,” it can pinch or irritate the nerves around it. By gently encouraging the freeing up of the joint complex, we help resolve:
- Persistent back, neck, and shoulder tension.
- The "fog" of migraines and tension headaches.
- Stiffness and lost range of motion.
- Recovery from sports injuries or whiplash.
